Tamara “Tam” Go is a graphic novelist/webcomicker and Lead Narrative Designer. She initially went to college to be an animator, but it only affirmed her passion for storytelling of all mediums.
While she works in the games industry full-time, she has never lost her passion for comicking–writing AND drawing–and has turned it into a serious hobby.

Cans of Beans

Cans of Beans was Tam’s first (COMPLETED!) webcomic which ran from 2011-2019. It’s a BL slice-of-life dramedy involving two college roommates who grow to care and love each other. Oh, and one of the roommates is a werewolf.

Tools of the Trade
FOR EVERYDAY SKETCHING, I use a Supernote Nomad because e-ink is lovely on my eyes and it has a fantastic writing/drawing experience, not to mention I sometimes crave the lasso tool/layers without having to fire up any screens. I also sometimes doodle on my Hobonichi Techo Cousin and especially my Midori MD Cotton Notebook if I really want color. I use an assortment of Blackwing pencils, ballpoint pens, and highlighters for traditional drawing, and sometimes I bust out my watercolors for a touch more (primarily M. Graham, Schmincke, and A. Gallo).
FOR WRITING, my main squeeze is Obsidian. I use the Fountain plugin to write in a screenplay format combined with the Remember Cursor Position plugin for a better user interface. Big fan of the Kanban plugin and Wordy plugin for more productivity.
FOR DRAWING ILLUSTRATIONS AND COMIC PAGES, I use an iPad Pro 12.9″ (2022) and Procreate primarily for illustrations and Clip Studio Paint for both illustration and comic page work.
